About the Blog
I spent five years working for Landmine Survivors Network, providing assistance and support to landmine victims around the world. In 2008, when LSN transitioned to Survivor Corps, I felt that there was still much more work to be done for and on behalf of the victims of these weapons.
On this blog you will find a monthly round-up of news stories regarding landmines on the Continent and frequent (I try for weekly) posts about specific events or themes relevant at the time. Occasionally I will address another issue of interest, but those have been rarer than I might have expected.
On a daily basis I post pieces to the associated Twitter feed http://www.Twitter.com/minesinafrica or @minesinafrica
Please feel free to comment or correct. Any errors of omission are my own.

Hi – Thanks for stopping by my blog post on de-mining. Your blog is super informative and focused – well done. If you have anything that you think would be relevant to the conservation side of the landmine issue, I would be more than happy to put up a blog post about it and reference back to you. Keep up the excellent work!
Is the July 4th Ultimate tournament still on?
Absolutely. Hope to see you tomorrow!
